EA released Battlefield 1942.
Just some months later (2003) Goetterfunke founded the EoD team to create a Vietnam
modification for BF1942.
With version 0.31, EoD got thousands of fans playing every day all around the world.
2004...
EA released Battlefield:Vietnam and the
team decided to transfer EoD to the new game.
Now they worked on both: EoD-1942 and EoD-BF:V.
2005...
Battlefield 2 was released, utilising a
brand new game engine.
The team now ended work on EoD-BF:V and EoD-1942 and began the task of creating EoD-2.
2007...
EoD-2 v1.0 was released as an infantry
mod, with only a few light vehicles and helicopters.
Later, v1.1 was released and included a few more vehicles.
v1.2 is currently in production and will bring a large selection of the vehicles of the
Vietnam war to the mod.
Whilst most of the team works on EoD-2,
one member of the team soldiers on with EoD-1942. His mission is to add bots to all maps
so it's possible to play the old game alone and offline.
2008...
A completely revised EoD-classic (v0.80)
and a patch (v0.81) was released.
In summer a completely overworked v0.90 was released.
On November 8th two new versions of EoD-1
and EoD-2 have been released on the same day.
2009...
April: Version 1.10 (patch) for BF1942 was
released.
April: Version 1.20 (patch) for BF1942 was released to improve some gameplay issues.
August: Version 1.50 (full) for BF1942 was released.
2010...
January: Version 2.0 (full) for BF1942 was
released.
April: Version 2.10 (full & patch) for BF1942 was released.
September: Version 0.16 (full) and 0.17 (patch) for BF:Vietnam was released
September: Version 2.20 (full & patch) for BF1942 was released.
2011...
February: Version 2.30 (full) for BF1942
was released.
February: Version 0.20 (patch) for BF:Vietnam was released
May: Version 2.31 (patch) for BF1942 was released.
